When I first watched the film, I thought the pacing was way too quick for me to actually understand what was going on. Although I will say that the fire fighter scenes were pretty intense regardless if they were only training or had to attend buildings that were on fire due to fireworks.
I understood this films backdrop involving the feeling of losing someone through drowning and honestly the ending was a near hard hitter for me. However I would have liked if the couples experience together was more in depth because as I said yet again, it was rather rushed. It didn't give much in depth either with the other guy who had a crush on her or if he was going for someone else. Since I'm not gonna say spoilers to telling you who's who, it's best to watch the film.
Animation wise, it was pretty alright. Not amazeballs but it was easy on the eyes at least.
As much as the film did offer a bit of emotion, it's not the ultimate worse or disappointment I've ever seen. However room for improvement is what it definitely definitely needs in terms of story pace development.

Bombshell showtimes. Bombshell streaming netflix. Bombshell reviews. Bombshell victoria's secret. It was an event that sent shockwaves throughout the News industry as allegations of harassment brought down Roger Ailes and fueled the growing "Me Too" movement.
In the new film "Bombshell" we learn how Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) had so much power and influence that he helped elect several politicians and rose to the head of Fox News. He ran Media Empire to great success and made those around him celebrities.
The film follows Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman) who opts to fight her ouster from the company claiming that her career was marked by frequent harassment often by Aisles himself.
At the same time; Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron) is dealing with backlash from Candidate Donald Trump and is being forced to endure what she sees as verbal attacks for the good of their audience and ratings.
As this story unfolds, the audience is introduced to Kayla Pospisil (Margot Robbie) a young journalist eager to make her way up the corporate ladder. She is introduced to Aisles who asks her to "model" for him claiming that since they work in a visual medium; he cannot just let anyone on the air and needs to ensure "loyalty" amongst his staff.
Carlson eventually files a lawsuit but due to the power that Aisles and the Network holds; nobody is willing to come forward to back her and she is faced with taking on the media giant alone. The movie then centers on the key players and their day to day lives which enables them to find the strength to come forward and do what they believe is right.
The film is powerful and all of the leads do amazing work. Lithgow is especially good in his role as he is as captivating as his is loathsome in the part.
The film is sure to spark some discussion as despite the events portrayed in the film it appears that many of those who acted improperly managed to financially win from their downfall but it at least set a precedent for those looking to come forward knowing they are not alone.
My only issue was that knowing how the story came out and that fact that it was very recent undermined any real drama but the performances and engaging and topical subject matter held my attention throughout.

Allison Janney Ailesin asianajajana, Rob Delaney, Liv Hewson ja Brigette Lundy-Paine Megan Kellyn avustajina, Kate McKinnon Kaylan työkaverina, sekä Malcolm McDowell Fox Newsin omistaja Rupert Murdochina. On ilo nähdä Kellopeliappelsiinista ( A Clockwork Orange - 1971) tuttu McDowell pitkästä aikaa näyttelemässä, minkä lisäksi on myös erittäin suuri ilo huomata, että yleensä äärimmäisen rasittava ja jopa raivostuttava koomikonyritys McKinnon osaa hillitä itsensä ja näytellä, jos niin haluaa! Janney on erittäin mainio, kuten aina, mutta hän jää harmillisen pieneen osaan. Me Too -kampanjan noustessa esiin muutama vuosi sitten, oli selvää, että tästä yhteiskunnallisesti merkittävästä ja kulttuuria muovaavasta keskustelusta tehtäisiin jossain kohtaa elokuvia. Bombshell - hiljaisuuden rikkojat on varmasti vain ensimmäinen monista ja jos taso pysyy tällaisena, niin antaa tulla vain lisää! Kyseessä on erittäin mainio teos erittäin tärkeästä aiheesta, mikä aika lailla kaikkien pitäisi katsoa. Filmi sisältää paljon tunnetta ja on varmaa, että monille, jotka ovat itse kokeneet ahdistelua, tunteet tulevat olemaan voimakkaita. Etenkin yhdessä kohtaa kyynelhanat saattavat aueta herkästi. Leffa onnistuu välittämään naisten kokeman ahdistuksen, vaikka itse ahdistelukohtauksia siinä on lopulta yllättävänkin vähän. Sitäkin enemmän näytetään, kuinka seksististä ja tökeröä toimintaa Fox Newsilla on ollut - ja valitettavasti on edelleen. Naiset eivät saa käyttää housuja, vaan vain lyhyitä hameita. Katsojalukujen nostamiseksi vaihdetaan laajakuvaan, jotta saadaan läpinäkyvän pöydän takaa näkyvät paljaat jalat esiin. Jos tähän ei suostu, ei ole asiaa töihin seuraavana päivänä. Elokuva esittelee läpi kestonsa yhä vain enemmän vääryyksiä ja sitä katsoessa on vaikea olla tuntematta suurta kiukkua kasvamassa sisällä. Elokuvan tarina on jo itsessään mielenkiintoinen ja kun vielä tietää, että se on suurimmaksi osaksi tositarina, on se vieläkin kiehtovampi. Bombshell - hiljaisuuden rikkojat nappaa nopeasti mukaansa ja pitää oivallisesti otteessaan loppuun saakka. Sen rytmitys on napakkaa, eikä aika käy pitkäksi. Paikoitellen katsojana toivoisi, että elokuva pysähtyisi syventämään jotain hetkeä, hahmoa tai juonikuviota pidemmäksi aikaa. Jotkut asiat hoidetaan pois alta kiirehtien ja niiden merkittävyys hieman katoaa, eikä näin pitäisi käydä. Pääasiassa elokuva kuitenkin tasapainottelee taidokkaasti kolmen päähenkilönsä juonikuvioiden välillä. Asia, mistä Bombshell - hiljaisuuden rikkojat saa (ja onkin jo saanut) suurta kritiikkiä, on se, että elokuvan ohjaaja ja käsikirjoittaja ovat molemmat miehiä. Onhan tämä kieltämättä kumma, kun leffa kertoo naisten kokemasta ahdistelusta ja onkin suuri mahdollisuus, että elokuva olisi vieläkin iskevämpi, jos siinä toimisi naistiimi puikoissa. Jay Roach ja Charles Randolph tekevät kuitenkin oivaa työtä ja kun Charlize Theron on toiminut tuottajana, olen varma, että hänellä on ollut sanavaltaa tehdä muutoksia, kun jompikumpi tai molemmat ovat olleet tekemässä jotain töksähtävästi. Elokuva on teknisestikin hyvin toteutettu. Kameratyöskentelystä löytyy televisiolähetyksille ja -ohjelmille tyypillisiä zoomailuja, minkä lisäksi leffassa on muutenkin hienovaraista, mutta veikeää visuaalista kikkailua. Lavasteet ja asut ovat onnistuneet, kuten on myös äänimaailma. Theodore Shapiron säveltämät musiikit luovat lisätunnelmaa tehokkaasti. Yhteenveto: Bombshell - hiljaisuuden rikkojat on erittäin mainio teos tärkeästä aiheesta ja varmasti vain yksi monista tulevista Me Too -kampanjaan liittyvistä elokuvista. Leffa nappaa heti mukaansa mielenkiintoisen aiheensa vuoksi, minkä lisäksi se onnistuu hyvin nopeastikin pistää katsojan tuntemaan voimakkaitakin tuntemuksia. Tietty raivo alkaa kiehua sisällä, kun John Lithgow ällöttelee oikein antaumuksella Roger Ailesin roolissa ja kun naistyöntekijöistä alkaa yhä paremmin nähdä, mitä se tekee heidän psyykkeelleen. Ahdistus välittyy katsomoon asti, mutta leffa voisi mennä vieläkin pidemmälle epämiellyttävän tunteensa kanssa. Vaikka elokuvan rytmitys on mukavan reipas, voisi se välillä hiljentää vauhtia ja syventää tiettyjä asioita paremmin. Visuaalista kikkailua on yllättävänkin veikeästi mukana. Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman ja Margot Robbie ovat kaikki todella hyviä rooleissaan - Theron ja Robbie ovat jopa erinomaisia. On kyllä hieman kumma, että ohjaajana ja käsikirjoittajana toimivat miehet ja toivonkin, että kun samanlaisesta tositarinasta tehdään seuraavan kerran elokuva, olisi kameran takana merkittävimmissä rooleissa huomattavasti enemmän naisia. Se todella on varmaa, että näitä tositarinoita tullaan filmatisoimaan, mutta tuskinpa tuottaja Harvey Weinsteinista onnistutaan vielä hetkeen vääntämään elokuvaa, sillä harmillisesti hänellä on yhä paljon vaikutusvaltaa elokuvamaailmassa. But it was started by an Afican American woman years ago after she was raped. What we have now is a huge resurgence and a demand that these laws be actually followed and prosecuted. Feminism and other social justice movements have always happened in waves. This is another.

Vu comment c'est un bordel innomable, j'avoue saturer et ai pensé à deux choses: - Passer par Transferwise ou autre solution de transfert international pour expédier mes euromonies à ma femme. - Envoyer bouler la Caisse d'Épargne et aller voir une banque plus internationale (j'avoue avoir pensé à HSBC malgré leurs casseroles au cul). Je requiers humblement votre avis sur la situation à adopter dans cette situation. En vous remerciant par avance avec un GIF de Kaamelott comme offrande. MOVIES 12:13 PM PST 11/27/2018 by Courtesy of DOC NYC/Afterward Productions Ofra Bloch's documentary deals with the lingering trauma suffered by Israelis, Palestinians and Germans as a result of such events as the Holocaust and the Nakba. "Is it possible to forgive? " That question, asked in Ofra Bloch's documentary, feels particularly relevant in these politically charged times seemingly marked more than ever by hatred and resentments. In this cinematic debut, the Jerusalem-born therapist, described as a "trauma expert, " delves into the feelings of Germans, Israelis and Palestinians bearing under the weight of psychic wounds both first-hand and generational. Afterward, which recently received its world premiere at DOC NYC, is very much a film of its time, but its relevance will sadly probably never lessen. The doc deals with the continuing trauma engendered by the Holocaust and the Nakba, the latter term referring to the displacement of hundred of thousands of Palestinians who became forced refugees in 1948. The Nazi legacy is still deeply felt in Germany, where Bloch interviews a former neo-Nazi who can't quite believe he's talking amiably to a Jew and the children of SS officers grappling with the horrors of their fathers' pasts. She also attends an exhibit at Berlin's Jewish Museum that lives up to its provocative title "Jew in a Box. " Bloch became introduced to memories of the Holocaust at an early age, having grown up in a Jerusalem home located directly across from the building where Adolf Eichmann was tried for war crimes. The legacy of the Holocaust is also felt by Palestinians, many of whom resent Israelis for labeling themselves victims even while oppressing them. "The more Israelis breathe, the more we choke, " says one interview subject about the occupation of their land. Another woman describes how she refuses to stand when a siren blares each year to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day. "It's just a minute, " she says of the annual ritual. "But it's a long minute. " She goes on to explain that not standing up represents "a political statement on my part. " The documentary includes harrowing footage of an Israeli soldier cold-bloodedly shooting a wounded Palestinian terrorist in the head as he lays wounded on the ground. Bloch also interviews a Palestinian professor who took his students on a field trip to Auschwitz to educate them about the horrors of the Holocaust. He was later accused of being a traitor and removed from his position. The film's wide-ranging interview subjects include historians, therapists and activists who articulately describe how past and current events shape their personal lives and careers. Bloch injects herself frequently into the proceedings, exploring her own complicated feelings of victimization and resentment. The film thus becomes a personal journey that proves as therapeutic for the filmmaker as it occasionally seems for her subjects. Not every segment in Afterward is compelling. The doc goes off on some odd tangents and feels padded at times despite its relatively brief running time. But at its most powerful, the film movingly illustrates the myriad ways in which the past haunts the present and the healing power of communication.
